Day Twenty-Four: Merry Christmas (Eve)!

I can't believe it's already the twenty-fourth. I know people say it all the time, but it really did feel like Christmas just came up out of nowhere this year. One minute there were still two weeks left until Christmas, and now here I am at my parents house living in the basement waiting for all the festivities tomorrow!

I almost feel like I haven't had time to get excited, but it probably also has to do with working two jobs right up until the 22nd.

Today I was not holding back with my festive dress and brought it to work with me. We aren't allowed to wear anything too crazy so I make sure to accessorize accordingly. It has felt nice to not only get to sleep in passed 6am the last couple days but also to take time to do my hair and and have fun with my make-up.

I came home to a lovely Christmas Eve meal - our traditional Tortiere pie. Then my family and I began our festivities. It's a little different than usual...I'm not living here but I'm also not moved in for a couple weeks like I would have when I was in school. We also have my Uncle visiting which is so nice because I don't get to see my extended family much so it's a nice treat that he's spending it with us.

It was a pretty quiet but get your parents and your uncle playing a game of Christmas charades with you and let me tell you, you're in for a good time.

Now I'm all decked out in my festive pajamas and ending the night with some festive Dan and Phil gaming to send off not only an amazing day but an amazing month of joy.

I hope you have all enjoyed it. I think I did a pretty decent job at keeping up and I think it was a joyful holiday season - even if it was a little bit of a whirlwind! It makes the moments of calm a little more special. I'm going to spend some down time with my family and enjoy Christmas morning. No matter how you're spending your holiday season, I hope you can find some joy. It doesn't have to be a bit production to find something joyful. I'm slowly learning that as I get older. Wishing you all much joy and happiness.

Merry Christmas! <3

P.S.

I have an exciting announcement coming up very soon so stay tuned!
