Day Twenty Two: Long Walks, Sims and Saving Christmas!

Today I had the day off! Hooray! And I started it without any alarms at all. What a great feeling. I'm really starting to appreciate Sunday mornings. After a fairly relaxed morning (I started it with a bubble bath) I met up with a friend and we went for a long walk around town. We gawked at the huge houses and caught up. And as if today's beautiful day couldn't get any better we ended up in Kringlewood - an entire street in the city where almost every house has a giant blow up Santa. I'm not sure why but apaprently it's a thing! It was a very happy accident and probably perfected our walk (also the dog that came bounding towards me.)

After that I warmed up at home and I dove into the Sims with some of the snacks I got form my Secret Santa. It was nice to be cozy and plant myself on the couch and game by the Christmas Tree.

Then I met up with my family for a family excape room! This one was Christmas themed and we had to save Christmas! It was lots of fun and we did in fact save Christmas! On our way home we found a Mistletoe Station. While I didn't get any kisses under the mistletoe...I did capture a couple others under the decor! We finished the evening off with some spiced hot apple cider and a sit down in a cafe. It was nice to get a jump start on the holiday festivities and visit with my uncle who will be in town for Christmas. Our Christmas is usually pretty quiet but it's nice to have some extra people around - it makes it a little more exciting for me!

What a great day off! One more day of work before Christmas! And only 3 more sleeps!
