Day Six: Getting Our Christmas Tree

Grab a hot chocolate or a hot cup of tea and cozy on in folks cause this day was non stop joyful! Let's start at the beginning...
I woke up to another absolute wonderland. I love my little street when it snows. First up for today was a catch-up with an old friend (old friendship...not old looking friend just in case he's reading this. Not a day over 22!) It was nice to see we basically just picked up where we left off two or three years ago.  It's always nice to know you have someone wiling to listen and share even when you don't see each other that often.

Next on the docket was the hunt to find the perfect Christmas tree. It was way more  fun this year. Last year we took a walk to the convenient store which happened to have trees - this year we found a little camper van set up with trees from a tree farm! And it gets better! They have a local friendly squirrel who likes to be hand-fed peanuts and cookies. He helped us pick the perfect tree. Our tree has yet to be namedd officially, so for now we'll call him Spruce Springsteen II. We carried him home with lots of love despite my hands almost freezing off (I may have lost my gloves - Mom if you're reading this maybe Santa can leave some in my stocking? hehe) The perfect tree was placed and watered and left to drop. And I left to educate children in the ways of music. There may have been some time for Planet Coaster and a 15min nap...

Once I made it home, I was lucky enough to receive a great pasta pun. Who doesn't love a good pasta pun? And then the decorating began! Festive drinks were poured and Christmas music was played. It was wonderful. My roommate and I realized it was our second Christmas together! Oh also my best friend found a new home! She's been on the apartment hunt for a while which is never an enjoyable task and she finally found one! I am very happy for her and for me because she's still a good visiting distance!

And now I have done my day's yoga, I've showered and am in my bed, ready to crash. Tomorrow will be another festive day so stay tuned!

I hope you've had a wonderful week and Friday.

Sending warmth your way,

B
