Day 9 - Letter Writing, Christmas Village and Zoom Chats

I’ll be honest I was a litte slacking with the photos today, but I mean I woke up at 6:30am that was my excuse. I somehow managed to make it through my day without a nap. That really deserves an applause cause honestly a month ago there was no way I was coming home at 3pm and not going straight to bed. But I sat down, did some Christmas card signing/writing, worked on a photos contest for my work and also got a discount on my internet bill.

Then I did my annual job of putting togeth the Christmas Village. I don’t know what it is about this stuff that draws me to it, but I absolutely love it. It’s my favourite part about helping my parents decorate and has been since I was a kid. Every year we add something, although my parents don’t want the town to expand any further so we have to stick with small things. Just wait til I have my own proper place and I will have an entire section dedicated to a Christms village!

After dinner, I hopped on a call with my boys and we did a little gaming and were about to start watching Community but got distracted instead and suddenly we had bene talking for like an hour. But it was really nice. Sometime our conversations lean towards joking and teasing a lot, but I think we need more chats like this where we can just be real, and talk about all the shit going on in life. I hope we do that more, and that it continues after all this isolation is over.

I miss hanging out with them. Every year we do a Christmas family photo but I don’t know what we will do this year. I don’t want to miss a year, but we’re going to have to get creative.

Anyway, like I said…6:30am so I’m going to bed! Let’s see what tomorrow brings!!
