Day 18: The Busiest Day of the Season?

I honestly think we hit our hardest day in the retail world. Combine the last Saturday before Christmas with everyone panicking about reduced capacity and you’ve got one wild Saturday. Things already felt disorganized before the weekend that when Saturday came there really was nothing else to do but get messy. I tried to go in with a positive attitude and I’m not gonna lie…I got real grumpy really quick. When there’s no time to check in or follow-up there’s a lot of little things with a larger staff that start happening that you can’t address. It’s kind of like when you have a small family who is used to how things work and all of a sudden you’re in college with 13 roommates who all do things a little differently and everyone’s busy. It was hard to walk into the disarray but walk into we did and somehow make it through? We did that too.

I don’t have a lot to report about today besides the fact that I’m exhausted and went straight to bed. Oh! How could I forget! My snow themed look worked! I manifested snow and it came! I did another “snow” themed look today in honor of the new dusting covering our trees and streets. Maybe it will last just one more week? I love snow on Christmas. Last year it snowed on Christmas Eve. It was magical.

So I guess the short version of today was, woke up, looked cute, it snowed, and shit got crazy. I managed to eat a sandwich and take both my breaks today which I am feeling thankful for. I went home, ate cookies and went to bed.

The End.
