Day 14 - Tough Work Days, Surprise Work Gifts and Virtual Cat Cuddles

Oh day 14…so overall not my favourite day. It's been a long while since gotten seriously overwhelmed at work but day 14 was one of them. It's so tough to predict traffic this year and even though we have extra hands we have people holding us accountable to not spending more than we're taking in. There are some people on my team going through a tough time and it takes a lot of work for me not to absorb all those hard feelings so not only was yesterday very busy it was a lot of emotional boundary setting which takes a lot of energy.

However there were some nice things - I had a nice morning and am extra nap due to some schedule changes. Did some peaceful tea drinking and blogging by the tree. I found a surprise in my stocking at work - a mini box cutter in my favorite colour! That was a nice little surprise. I also made sure to eat and drink water to keep me going and honestly I wasn't sure if ai would have time to do it so I'm glad I'm the end it was possible.

After that long day I was happy to curl up and watch our show with my best friend whose cat decided he would try to get as close to me as possible. He say right by the phone and stared me down for so long and we couldn't stop laughing. It was a nice little lift I think she and I both needed. Cats are amazing.

So a relatively tough day but that's okay. We take the good with the hard and try out best!
