Day 15 - Yummy Salads and Festive Sweaters

Okay before we dig into day 15, I just need you all to know that we broke the day 12 curse! The last 2-3 years on day 12 it’s always a hard day. But this year we broke the curse! It was the exact opposite! Woohoo we did it!

Okay so day 15 went by pretty quickly! That often happens when I have work in the middle of the day because the before and after tends be pretty uneventful and the in between has no time for photo ops!

But I managed to capture a few moments! When I’m having a hard time, my parents know that my love language is helping me eat so my Mom made me breakfast and tea! It’s so helpful because sometimes it takes all my energy to set my mind to get out of bed and leave the house so when I have help to do the things that make me feel better it means a lot.

I refuse to give up on festivity no matter how I might be feeling on the inside so I donned yet another festive sweater and earrings and set myself off to work! The day was okay! Pretty slow because of the “storm” we were supposed to get. The stress of the day before slowly starting to melt away.

After work I remembered that eating is important and stopped at the grocery store and let me tell you I had the most amazing salad. It was one of these salad kits and it was a Honey Bourbon Chopped Salad and you need to try this salad, It was….it was amazing. And I don’t really like salads. So that says a lot.

Of course how else would I end the night than watching The Rain with my bestie? I even dug into the Pilsbury Christmas cookies while I updated my blog. Now it really does feel like Christmas with those!

I know this wasn’t a wildly exciting day but I hope that these little updates help you to find little moments joy in the seemingly mundane of our lives.
